Just want to see people's opinons.

    As for me....
I feel the little girl deserved it, if only for a lesson.
Who are the parents of this little girl for her to treat others the way she did?... that little girl had no respect for others with her kicking, slapping, yelling, and ripping things off the wall.
I'm with the school for their actions. That little girl was out of control.

    Raggz,

I know you and I don't always agree on political issues (or KISS), but I'm totally with you on this. The kid was totally out of control, and since forcibly putting your hands on a student opens teachers and administrators up to lawsuits these days, calling the police was the right thing to do. That kid's parents need to re-evaluate how the heck they are raising that kid...

<font size="4" face="Arial">Agreed majorily...why?...my dad is a highschool teacher. What happened to the days when if a kid was bad...the teacher took them to the bathroom and wacked them good. Today...as you mentioned with a teacher putting their hands on a student will cost them their job or lawsuit, Students walk all over teachers. It has come to a point where the students know teachers and administrators can't do anything, so they, the students feel that they can do anything.
    It's ridiculous.

It's really true they can get away with anyonthing the teachers are scared to do anything without fear of some parents screaming and bitching about it.

It really HAS come down to this. Schools are mini jungles these days, even the more laid back one's. Parents of children who've ever been victimized by another childs insanity(and i'm not talking your garden variety taunting...that stuff has gone out the window only to be replaced by some serious twisted and violent acts)would totally agree. I'm fortunate to live in a good school district, but i've had my share of problems over the 18 years i've been a parent. I say take a hard line stance from the very beginning. you can't always blame the parents( some people try very hard to be good parents but have extremely rebelious or mentally unstable children in spite of their best efforts)but you must not take the actions of the kids lightly, even at 5.

    Very true Donna.
Hell, I was watching the news one night, only to hear that a 7yr old kid took a gun to school. I was like WTF?

ya Raggz I remember when I went to school in Texas there was always the "paddling" scare for me. Thats why I never acted out in class hehe.

I'm still not sure what my views are on this one. I think they could've done it another way since she was only 5 years old but then I see the footage and she's pulling the "windmill" with her arms and it makes me re-think that...

I blame her mom ultimately for neglecting to take care of her child and letting her get out of control like that.
